VA benefits for spouses, dependents, survivors, and family caregivers

Here at All-In construction Services, we work with many Veteran clients. Many know of the resources available to them, but some resources are not as well known. We thought we’d highlight some resources here. Read about the benefits for Veteran Clients and Spouses below.

As the spouse or dependent child of a Veteran or service member, you may qualify for certain benefits, like health care, life insurance, or money to help pay for school or training. As the survivor of a Veteran or service member, you may qualify for added benefits. Benefits may include help with burial costs and survivor compensation.

Support and services for caregivers of Veterans

  • The Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers. Learn more about eligibility for this program and how to apply. The program offers support and services for family caregivers of eligible Veterans who were seriously injured in the line of duty during certain time periods and meet other eligibility requirements.
  • The Program of General Caregiver Support ServicesFind out how to get resources, education, and support available to caregivers of eligible Veterans from all eras. For this program, the Veteran doesn’t need to have a service-connected condition, for which the caregiver is needed, and may have served during any era. [A formal application for this program in not required].

Disability housing grants for Veterans

As you may have read about on our website (here), The VA offers housing grants for Veterans and service members with certain service-connected disabilities. These grants are offered so they can buy or change a home to meet their needs and live more independently. Changing a home might involve installing ramps or widening doorways.
